Zaghloul season is approaching
We’re preparing at Hantasch Farm to begin harvesting red Zaghloul dates on September 1st. You can pre-order your desired quantity before picking begins, and orders will be prepared according to crop ripeness and actual quantities available during harvest.

Zaghloul is enjoyed in its fresh red stage, with its firm texture and distinctive seasonal character. It’s an experience different from the soft or dried dates many consumers are used to eating year-round.
Nutritional value
Fresh Zaghloul dates are a natural source of energy thanks to their carbohydrates and natural sugars. Date fruits also provide dietary fiber and a number of minerals—most notably potassium—along with phenolic plant compounds with antioxidant activity. Nutritional value and the concentration of these components vary by variety, ripeness, and growing and harvest conditions. It’s best enjoyed as part of a balanced diet, keeping in mind its natural sugar content.
